The Canadian Dental Association suggests that children should have their first dental visit within 6 months of the appearance of their first tooth, or within the first year of their life. During early dental visits, we can educate both parents and kids about proper dental hygiene for young ones. We can also catch and correct any problems regarding the development of healthy teeth and jawbones.
We love to have kids in our office, and we find it rewarding to see our patients grow up with healthy, beautiful smiles. It’s important to give children positive early experiences visiting the dentist, and Dr. Harp cherishes the chance to put kids at ease during their earliest appointments.
Children can begin to lose their baby teeth at around the age of 6, and the process can continue into the early teens. We’ll be there to ensure that your child’s teeth develop properly, and we’ll offer guidance about dental hygiene, maintenance and treatment. The patient-dentist relationship can last a lifetime, and it’s built on trust and mutual respect.
